A couple of years ago I had never heard of a "Walk Score." Today it has become a key ingredient in the home purchase for many Buyers of Boulder CO Real Estate.This seems to be a national trend as well as a local trend. I was just reading an article in the Daily Camera a local Boulder newspaper that said many middle class Buyers are moving to the cities from suburban areas. The new mantra is pick up the bike and leave the car behind.
Boulder, CO seems to be very well positioned for this new trend with great public transportation and a bike path system that is second to none. It truly is a city where a car is a luxury not a necessity. As Realtor we will want to keep this trending in mind as we help tomorrow's Buyers. What is the closest stores, bus stop. Be sure to publicize the Walk Score to today's home buyer it matters.
